The authors of the News.by Telegram channel (part of the Belteleradiocompany) posted the claim about military training for Polish schoolchildren on November 4, 2025. The attached video shows teenagers in military uniforms pitching tents, practicing with weapons and doing land-navigation exercises in the woods.
“Militarization is gaining steam: now, in Poland, schoolchildren are being trained by the military.
The Polish regime is stubbornly deploying army units to indoctrinate and militarize the younger generation. Their real goal is pure, unfiltered ideological conditioning!” the caption to the video says.
In Poland, soldiers do in fact conduct training sessions with schoolchildren. On October 6, 2025, the fourth round of an educational program called Edukacja z wojskiem (“Education with the Army”) began. It consists of three lessons and is designed to teach children how to respond in emergencies, provide first aid, protect themselves from disinformation and evacuate safely. Schools take part in the program on a voluntary basis. About 200,000 students have already participated.
The video shown in the News.by post has nothing to do with this program. The video was published in the summer of 2025 by the Zawisza Czarny Military Secondary School (Wojskowa Szkoła Średnia im. Zawiszy Czarnego), a military-oriented institution similar to a cadet academy. Students who plan to pursue a military career enroll there after finishing the eighth grade of regular school.
The clip shows training at a paid summer camp for teenagers run by the military school. Its participants practice physical training, drill, land navigation and team exercises.
In October 2025, the BIC published an investigation into Belarusian children who attend military-patriotic clubs based in army units and run by the Young Guard Foundation. Teenagers march, undergo firearms and medical training, and take part in field camps.
