The court declared the elections in the German capital undemocratic due to detected rig. Vladimir Pertsov, Minister of Information of Belarus, reported the false news on the state-run TV channel “Belarus 1”. Weekly Top Fake journalists fact-checked the claim.

Minister of Information of Belarus, Vladimir Pertsov publicly recounted on March 1 the impressions that German guests have received from the Belarusian elections, and, according to the minister, which they shared with him.

“Even the German observer, who had come, said: “So there in Berlin, the court declared the elections were undemocratic due to fraud and rig. And here, wherever I go, people come, fill it out themselves, throw it in,” he said on the air of TV Belarus 1, the “Editors Club” program.

In September 2021, elections were held in Germany, in which voters had to simultaneously elect deputies to the Bundestag, the state councils and district assemblies. In addition, a referendum was held on the nationalization of real estate owned by concerns that rent out housing.

There were many problems during the voting process, such as shortages of ballots, long lines at many polling stations and polling stations were temporarily closed or remain open longer than required.

As a result, the Federal Constitutional Court decided to hold re-elections in some Berlin constituencies. The court notes that its decision was not related to falsification or manipulation of voting results.
