Grigory Azaryonok claimed on the show "Da!No" that migrants carry out more than half of Russia's thefts, rapes and other crimes. The Weekly Top Fake team fact-checked his assertion.

Azaryonok raised the issue of bringing foreign labor into the economy during the June 4, 2025, broadcast of "Da!No" on CTV.

While discussing security concerns, he cited figures on crimes committed by migrants.

"People can see what is happening in Europe. People can see what is happening in Russia. And in Russia, pardon me, they laugh at the phrase 'crime has no nationality'. Because if you look at the statistics, more than half of thefts, rapes and other offenses are committed by migrants."

Interior Ministry data for 2024 show foreigners committed just over 4% of crimes in Russia.

Across the European Union, the share of crimes committed by migrants varies from country to country. For example, in Germany in 2024, foreigners made up about 42% of crime suspects. That figure is close to what Azaryonok claimed. Remove immigration violations from the tally and foreigners account for about one in three crimes, or 35.5%.

In France, foreigners made up 17% of crime suspects in 2024. They are cited most often in cases of car break-ins, burglaries and unarmed robbery.

In Poland, 2024 statistics show foreigners make up only about 6% of crime suspects. They are most frequently charged with drunken driving.
