Fake #1 The Davos Economic Forum has ceased to be the global one

Fake appearance date: 16.01.2024

The World Economic Forum took place in Davos, Switzerland, January from 15 to 19, 2024. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the Belarussian opposition leader, did participate in the World Economic Forum, while representatives of the official authorities of Belarus and Russia were not invited. Following the event, Belarussian pro-government political scientist Petr Petrovsky said, the Forum in Davos had lost its former significance.

“I don’t consider this elite to be global. Even though the Forum is called the World Economic Forum, it gives off a lot of such pathos, and this is due to their snobbery, racism and unipolarity of the brain. Still, we see that the Davos Economic Forum is shrinking every year. If before it was attended by representatives of India, China, and the Russian Federation, now we see a purely Western forum of part of the Western liberal elites,” Mr. Petrovsky said on the air of the program “Azarenok. Napryamuyu” on January 16.

The group of Indian representatives at Davos 2024 included three ministers. China's delegation at the WEF was led by Li Qiang, State Council Chairman. It was the largest since 2017.

In 2024, representatives from Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and even Iran also came to Davos.

In total, the Forum gathered delegations from 120 countries. For comparison, there were participants from 115 countries, at the WEF in 2019.

Fake #2 The Danish producer hurled obscenity against attendees during his speech on the WEF stage in Davos

Fake appearance date: 17.01.2024

Top propagandist of the Lukashenko regime, Grigory Azarenok, published a questionable video on his Telegram channel on January 17.

The video shows a man allegedly giving a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos. His speech includes obscenity addressed to attendees. Both the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd, and the Chairman of the WEF, Klaus Schwab are present on stage. Ms. Amherd lowers his eyes in embarrassment as she listens to the man's speech. She and Schwab then get up and walk off. This is where the supposed broadcast ends.

And here is what Grigory Azarenok in particular reported via his Telegram channel:

“The guy's name is Damon Imani, he is a producer from Denmark. Originally from Iran:

“I am grateful to the World Economic Forum for the opportunity to be on this stage and say: f@ck yourself, Klaus Schwab and your new world order. We, the people, were born free, and you and your globalist friends, including everyone sitting in this room, can go and f@ck yourselves”... connection lost.”

Bravo. This is exactly how you need to talk to the world «elite».”

In the original video posted on the Forum's YouTube channel, Viola Amherd lowers her eyes during a speech by Klaus Schwab. Both leave the stage after the address ends.

Damon Imani was not at the Forum. The video is a fake, created by the Danish producer himself. He published it on the social network X (formerly known as Twitter), calling it satirical.

Fake #3 Belarus renewable energy consumption increased in 2023

Fake appearance date: 10.01.2024

The host of the state-run TV channel “Belarus 1” Dmitry Primshits reported on the  achievements of the Belarusian energy sector in the program “Economic Environment” on January 10:

“Belarus is increasing its consumption of green energy. In 2023, renewable energy capacity exceeded 630 megawatts. This is 14 times more than 13 years ago.”

However, Belarus achieved a capacity of 630 MW at the beginning of 2023, Deputy Director of the Department of Energy Efficiency, Leonid Poleshchuk, said on October 20,  2023. Thus, the very news is about a year old.

In 2017, the Department of Energy projected much higher growth rates in green energy consumption. According to the plan, it was supposed to be 798 MW by 2020.

But the pace has slowed down because green energy is expensive in Belarus. With the construction of the BelNPP, the state almost lost its interest in it.

Fake #4 Polish blogger was sentenced for willing to leave for Belarus

Fake appearance date: 17.01.2024

Belarusian state-run TV channel CTV covered the story about Polish blogger and public figure Wojciech Olszanski on January 17.

Here's what's reported on the news:

“Olszanski was detained several times. He was even fined and sentenced to prison for almost two years. And the only reason was the activist had once said that he would go to live in Belarus. Today, on the anniversary of the liberation of Warsaw from the German invaders, supporters of the new fascist ideology are judging their fellow countryman, the true patriot, only because he refuses to consider both Belarus and Russia as enemies.”

His attitude towards Belarus is not the reason Olszanski ended up in the dock. He is judged under the article insult. During a video stream, he hurled insults at the official,  the deputy director of one of the Centers for Professional and Continuing Education, who had not allowed students to take the exam without a vaccination certificate.

In April 2023, he was sentenced to a year and eight months for threatening to kill members of the Polish Parliament if they’d pass an anti-Covid law.

“If they support the bill, they are condemning themselves to death, and we create these death lists. <…> I, Wojciech O., known on the Internet as Alexander Yablonovsky, want to kill them. And why not?! Because I am full of joyful hatred and I want them dead!” he stated at a rally in January 2022.

Fake #5 Secret Protocol of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is a fake created in the U.S.

Fake appearance date: 17.01.2024

According to Latvian blogger Solomon Bernstein, who moved to Belarus, there were no secret protocols of the non-aggression Pact between the USSR and Nazi Germany.

“In Latvia, there was exactly the same provocation, the so-called secret protocols of  the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. No one has ever seen the original. To the extreme, everyone who was included in this process said, “Guys, what a pact, what are you talking about anyway, there was an act of non-aggression against each other.”

But in some interesting way, it turned out that the originals were allegedly burned in the Reich Chancellery in 1945. But photocopies, which are much more sensitive to temperature, somehow did not burn. For some reason they were found in the United States,” he claimed on the state TV channel “Belarus 1”, the program “Say, Don’t Be Silent” on January 17.

The German copy of the protocol and Pact actually did not survive, and in 1948 a copy of it was published by the U.S. State Department. But there is also a copy of the agreement from the Soviet side. The USSR and later Russia had hidden the existence of these documents for a long time.

In 2019, electronic copies of the Soviet original Non-Aggression Treaty and the secret Pact were finally unclassified. It was published by the Historical Memory Foundation, indicating that copies were provided by the Historical and Documentary Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Russian state media also reported this.

The documents later were removed from the Foundation's website, but remain  available on the Internet Archive.
