Ivan Eismont, the chairman of the state-run Belteleradiocompany, reported on February 7, that foreign viewers have a great interest in the news of TV channel 1 from Belarusian television.
“Today we work in many foreign languages: Polish, and English. We even translate into Spanish and German. Of course, it's popular. Let's say Polish-language content. The widest viewing geography throughout Poland. Tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of views of the content that we produce throughout the day. And of course, who will like it?” he said on the air of Radio Alfa.
On the YouTube channel of the Television News Agency, news stories with foreign translations usually get from five hundred to five thousand views.
The most viewed is the announcement in Polish of a film about the Belarusian opposition politician Olga Kovalkova. It has 38 thousand views. At the same time, the film in Polish translation was viewed a little more than a thousand times.
Belteleradiocompany also runs International Radio Belarus for Poland, broadcasting in Polish. The most popular video on the radio’s YouTube channel is an advertisement for the radio itself. It has 86 thousand views.
It is followed by the two most popular videos, which are statements by Aleksandr Lukashenko about Poland, with about 70 and 50 thousand views.
The rest of this channel's videos rarely get more than a thousand views. The popularity of this radio's content on social networks is even lower. On TikTok, its videos usually get from several dozen to several hundred views, on Facebook — on average about twenty.
