On December 10 the Belarusian Association of Journalists announced the results of the creative competition “Volnoe Slovo” 2021. More than 300 works were presented to the jury. Members of Belarus Centre for Investgative Journalism won the first places in the most prestigious categories
The competition was held by the "Belarusian Association of Journalists" under the auspices of the European Federation of Journalists
Alyaksei Karpeka, Ksenia Vyaznikovtseva, Olga Alkhimenko were awarded for the investigation "Lukashenka's sanctioned «wallet» Shakutsin continues business in the EU in spite of sanctions"
In his speech at the award ceremony, D.C. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken noted that Stanislav Ivashkevich was recognized “for his unwavering commitment to fighting corruption and bolstering the impact of sanctions against Russia and Belarus”.
