In this project a team of Belarusian investigative journalists reveal corruption schemes and top-level legislation abuse
The contractor was recommended by a business associate with close ties to the Belarusian democratic community. This individual previously held a position within the internal affairs bodies.
Sources in the forest products market provided BIC with documents that were likely forged. They were allegedly used to transport wood from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan across the border between Belarus and the EU.
