Did Trump blame the U.S. authorities for the September 11 attacks? Analysis of Belarusian TV news from the Weekly Top Fake Team

Donald Trump delivered his campaign speech in New Hampshire on January 22, and the Belarus 1 TV channel covered it three days later on the news.

The TV channel Belarus 1 reported Donald Trump's sensational statement. Employees of the state television channel claimed that the ex-president had blamed the U.S. authorities for the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Donald Trump delivered his campaign speech in New Hampshire on January 22, and the Belarus 1 TV channel covered it three days later on the news:

Here's what TV Belarus 1 said on January 25:

“Trump's significant statement: the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, were organized not by Arab jihadists, but by the U.S. authorities. The attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center was used, the politician argues, to embroil America in a series of conflicts and also to fuel conflicts on the planet.

“I was silenced for four years so that I would not tell the nation about this,” Donald Trump literally said.”

The state-run Belarusian media outlet did not show a video of the ex-president’s speech. Whereas, pro-government Telegram channels published a video where Trump allegedly said that the United States was behind the attack on September 11.

In fact, in the original video, Trump, who is running again for president, says he has done a better job of preventing terrorism from entering the United States than other presidents before and since.

“When I was there for four years, I wanted to talk so much. We had no terrorism, we had no attacks, we had nothing. And we had the Trump travel ban, we call it, the Terror ban, right, we wanted to stop Terror from coming into our country. But I couldn't talk about it, cuz I didn't want to do that, and then the following day, something happened.

So, I spent four years keeping my mouth shut on that particular subject. But now I talk about it all the time. We had no attacks, we didn't have a World Trade Center. We didn't have the attacks, like you've seen, and certainly, that you see in other countries. And by the way, now we're getting involved again in the Middle East. Look what's happening.” Trump said at the campaign event in New Hampshire.
