Was Trump removed from the “Peacemaker” database? “Nevolfovich” Revives a 2018 Hoax

The WTF team checked the archive of the “Peacemaker” website.

Belarus’s pro-government Telegram channel “Nevolfovich” claimed that Donald Trump was removed from the Ukrainian “Peacemaker” database following his US presidential election victory. The Weekly Top Fake team investigated whether he was ever actually listed.

On November 8, 2024, “Nevolfovich” published a post about Trump's alleged disappearance from the database. The 

“What does it take to get your profile removed from 'Peacemaker'? It seems winning the US presidential election does the trick.

Donald Trump was removed from the Ukrainian 'Peacemaker' database. This happened after he was elected the 47th President of the US. Trump was added to 'Peacemaker' in 2018 allegedly for his statements about Crimea’s Russian ownership. So, it seems the Banderite appreciate money more than pride and principles,” the post reads.

To support their claim, the Telegram channel published alleged screenshots of Trump's data from the database.

Russian media outlets also spread this fake news. Some clarified that the information about Trump was outdated, as he was removed from the database in June 2018, shortly after being added.

The WTF team checked the archive of the “Peacemaker” website and found no trace of Trump.

In 2018, Russian media outlets widely disseminated information claiming that Trump was added due to his statements about Crimea belonging to Russia. In June of that year, the website's administration declared this information to be fake.
