Producing the Russian voice-over of the TV series ‘The Morning Show’, the studio Rudub distorted the character's words, a Mariupol reporter. The fake was exposed by the media outlet ‘Meduza’. The Zerkalo.io writes about this.

The topic of Russia's war against Ukraine several times was highlighted in the TV series. So, the studio faked one of the episodes, which covered the shelling of Ukraine’s Mariupol that took place at the beginning of the war. In this episode, the photographer from Mariupol talks about what had been happening on the streets in 2022.

So, while dubbing they replaced the original quote “The Russians. It's not just a bombing. They are shooting civilians in the street” with the following words:
“It's not just a bombing of the city. “Azov” shoots civilians on the streets.”

Recall, “Azov” is a formation of the National Guard of Ukraine formerly based in Mariupol.

The Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show” explores the world of news showing behind-the-screen activity of the fictional television station UBA.

Each episode is dedicated to current world news, such as the harassment problem and the #MeToo movement, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

The media service Apple TV+ is still available for audiences in the Russian Federation, but the new season of “The Morning Show” was blocked for viewers there. The company hasn’t commented on whether coverage of the war in the series caused the blocking of the season in Russia.
