Did FIFA cover up stadium names for the first time? What’s wrong with official Anikin’s claim on TRK Gomel?
During his appearance on a TRK Gomel show, soccer official Artsiom Anikin stated that the 2026 FIFA World Cup was the first tournament in which FIFA banned the display of commercial stadium names. However, this is not a new practice. The “clean stadium” rules were also applied at previous World Cups, including the 2018 tournament in Russia.

The ONT TV channel shifted the responsibility to Lithuania for the trucks held in Belarus
The ONT TV channel claimed that Lithuania did not allow its trucks to leave Belarus and did nothing to resolve the situation. The Weekly Top Fake team found that, after the border closure, Lithuania allowed its carriers to return and officially asked the Belarusian authorities to allow the trucks to leave. However, Minsk made the decision that caused them to get stuck in the country.
