Europe without milk? Greece without food? What’s wrong with the stories on Belarusian state TV
State-run Belarusian TV channels have painted an alarming picture of Europe. According to them, milk production is dwindling, and Greece is reportedly among the countries where people are undernourished. However, data from Eurostat and the FAO indicate the opposite. Milk production in the EU is increasing, and Greece is not included on the food vulnerability map.

However, archival data from the NKVD show the opposite. Hundreds of thousands of Soviet citizens evaded conscription, and the number of deserters exceeded one million.

CTV did not mention that one-third of the surveyed Lithuanians supported maintaining the sanctions
The CTV program Novosti 24 chasa reported that significantly more people in Lithuania support lifting or easing sanctions against Belarus than support the restrictions. However, the hosts failed to mention one important finding from the poll. Thirty percent of respondents favored maintaining the sanctions without making any changes.

Is the Belarus tractor featured in the U.S. Book of Honor? How the MTZ-80 testing was framed as a triumph over international tractor competitors
The ONT TV channel and Selskaya Gazeta reported that the Belarusian MTZ-80 tractor allegedly performed well in international competitions in Nebraska and was included in the American “Book of Honor.” After this, shipments to the U.S. and Canada increased. Previously, Selskaya Gazeta asserted that the tractor was named the world’s best. However, no such competitions were conducted in Nebraska. The MTZ-80 underwent the standard tests required for sale in the United States.
