Anti-Ukrainian narratives in the United States are promoted by the Republican Party through advertising, the Telegram channel Shkvarka News falsely reported. As proof, they published a video from a bowling match, which shows the slogan “Stop funding Ukraine” with a link to the official website of the Republicans. The Weekly Top Fake journalists faсt-checked the report.

Representatives of the U.S. Republican Party have been withholding their support for the US Congress approving a new package of $60 billion in military assistance for Ukraine. Voting in this regard is scheduled for the end of March.

On March 11, following the news, the pro-government Telegram channel Shkvarka News published a 9-second video from a bowling match, which shows an advertisement for the U.S. Republican Party.

“Meanwhile, Republicans are furiously calling for stop funding Ukraine and that is why the party bought advertising. At a bowling match in the United States, an advertisement appeared with the calling “Stop funding Ukraine” and a link to the official website of the Republicans,” the Telegram post said.

Weekly Top Fake journalists found the original video. It was published on YouTube in May 2021, even before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It shows an advertisement not for the Republican Party, but for the Manscaped company, which produces razor accessories.
